Sadly Lou passed away recently after a long battle against cancer.
Louise, a proud Heffron Hawk from 2003-2005, had been active around the Association for more than a decade, and despite her ongoing battle with cancer, Louise continued to contribute greatly to the ESFA community.
Louise was inducted into the ESFA Hall of Fame in 2010 for her services to refereeing and women’s football. Louise donated the Women’s Over 35 Grand Final Winner’s trophy to the Association. The perpetual trophy carries her name and when it was introduced in 2010 it was dedicated to all women playing in the Women’s Over 35 Competition and all women who have battled cancer.
She will be sorely missed by all of us.
